How to Get Into the Kingdom of God PDF Print E-mail

We hope some of the information provided on this website will encourage you to seek God's truth and His kingdom. Every individual who truly desires to know about God, His Son, and their kingdom will no doubt have many questions about what they need to do to be given everlasting life. God recorded His words in the book which we know as the Holy Bible, and there you will find all of the instructions you need so that you can live forever.

What is the Kingdom of God and how can a person become a part of it?

Anyone can run to be a part of God's new kingdom. All that is needed is a sincere desire to do God’s will and learn the ways He wants us to follow. To begin with, a person has to understand that the kingdom of God is the new government that Almighty Jehovah will some day establish to rule over all. The term "gospel of the kingdom" simply means the "good news" of His perfect, forthcoming government.

Jehovah sent his beloved Son, Jesus Christ, to preach about this new government and to start choosing individuals to be a part of it. At that time, he provided his followers with a specific set of principles they were to adhere to. His followers are also known as "disciples", which means pupils, or ones learning. Just as at Jesus' time, those who follow him now continue to learn through the words his Father gave him, as well by the words of the prophets and others who God appointed to record  the Holy Bible. Those words help to instruct us in how we need to conduct ourselves.

Christ's disciples strive to be like him in their thoughts, beliefs and actions, which are governed only by the true teachings defined in the scriptures (Holy Bible). They desire to serve both Almighty God, Jehovah, and His Son Christ Jesus, and do not pick and choose only those commandments they desire to. The goal for living this way is to have the opportunity to enter into the glorious, eternal kingdom to come.

Here are some important points that you need to know, followed by a few scriptures you can reference on each:

Know who the one true God is, and what His name is. Show Him reverence.
(Proverbs 30:4, Exodus 6:2-3, Psalm 83:18, Proverbs 1:7, Proverbs 2:1-5, Hebrews 12:28)

Know that Jesus Christ is the Son of Almighty God, and was the very first creation of Jehovah.
(John 17:3, Colossians 1:12-21, Revelation 3:14, John 14:28)

Study and research God's word regularly, and prove all things.  Make sure that what you learn is the truth, taught by God's true ministers in the Bible and not by false ministers.
(2 Timothy 2:15, Isaiah 34:16, Acts 17:10-12, 1 Thessalonians 5:21, 1 John 4:1-2, 2 Peter 1:20-21, Matthew 7:15-20)

Learn that the two most important commandments are to love Almighty God with all your heart, and to love your fellow man as yourself.  Learn how to treat all people with kindness.
(Mark 12:29-31, Galatians 6:10, Ephesians 4:32, Colossians 3:12-14, 1 Thessalonians 3:12)

Know that Satan, the devil, is the god of this present world. Learn how and why to not be overcome by his evil influence.
(2 Corinthians 4:4, Luke 4:3-6, 1 Peter 5:8-9)

Understand why Almighty God has a controversy with the nations, and what will happen to them and those who are a part of them.
(Jeremiah 25:31, Psalm 37:9, Isaiah 34:1-3, Isaiah 40:15, Revelation 19:11-21)

Learn about God's new kingdom and have the sincere a heart with the desire to enter into that perfect, everlasting government.(Matthew 6:33, Micah 4:1-5, Isaiah 2:2-4, Psalm 37:11)

Be willing to change/repent and renew your mind as you learn more of what the Bible teaches. Have a humble and teachable attitude.
(Romans 12:2-3, Ephesians 4:22-24, Matthew 18:4)

As an understanding adult, become a baptized follower of Almighty God and His Son, recognizing who they are, and being baptized in the name of the Father Jehovah, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit (which is the power of God).
(Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 2:37-42, Acts 8:35-38)

Shalom all,
I notice that there are some very interesting points in everyones comments and I will definitely try to keep my comment brief.
First I want to remind you all that faith without works is dead. (James 2:20) If Jesus took our sins to the cross with him, then we are free and do not need to sin. And if we do we have an intercessor in him that we may go to our creator and ask for forgiveness. If you are set free in Jesus then you are no longer a slave to sin, and you will walk as Jesus walked.
Second, that brings me to something else that I noticed in this article... About his name, calling on his NAME. U quoted some very viable scripture on this topic. If you notice in the first few pages of your bible the writer/publishing company tells you that the sacred names have been removed. We know tht God is not a name as the write of this entry clearly stated Satan is the God of the world. So who is your God and what is his name and what is his son's name? that is if you know it. Proverbs 30:4 again. He wants us to know his name and to call on his name. Not the translation there is power in His name. and to be baptized in his name. If anyone is interested in finding out more about this topic feel free to email me at This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it or go to www.blogtalkradio.com/wotr there is a brother there who has information about the names to help you in you desire to know the truth. Seek and you shall find. Be Blessed and Edified

Matt, Matthew 7:21-23 States that although you may beleive in and profess Jesus as your Saviour, that if you purposely live a life of lawlessness with no regard to attempting to live a Godly life then you have a surprise coming. That is being told by Jesus to depart from him. He knew you not.

Your "How to enter the kingdom" points are a long list of do's and don't's that no one can possible follow.
— Matt

Matt- Based on the list given above in the article How To Enter the Kingdom, please explain how it is impossible to follow these scriptures. These scriptures are based on a true love for God.

"By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith." (1 John 5:2-4)

 1. The way to enter His kingdom
Matt, Unregistered
Your "How to enter the kingdom" points are a long list of do's and don't's that no one can possible follow. So you still never answered the question, "How does one get in?" Since obedience to all of these is utterly impossible, is 50% good enough? Does it require 75% committment. What if I had to be faithful to these commandments 99% of the time? Would that be enough? God could not possible be so cruel as to desire us to live with him in heaven for eternity and yet give us no standard by which we are allowed to enter. Romans 10:9 says, "That if you confess with your mouth "Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead then you will be saved." How someone can enter heaven is by acknowledging / confessing their sin before God and calling on His infinite grace to forgive them. The new life that God offers is one of relationship / friendship with God because one's sins are forgiven. Obedience to ordinances does nothing to cleanse a sinner of his unrighteousness. Ask God in true humbleness of heart today to forgive you of your sins on the basis of his redeeming work on the cross (or torture stake as some believe), not on the basis of your own deeds done in righteousness.
See 1 John 1:9 and Titus 3:5.
